Bronx Zoomers Home Group Members and Trusted Servants asked to attend. All are welcome.
Trusted Servants Roles and Responsibilities
Group Chair
Service Term: 1 Year of Service (April - March)
Suggested Qualifications:
Bronx Zoomers Home Group Member
1 year of continuous sobriety;
Is currently or previously been a trusted servant at BXZ
Understands the 12 steps and 12 Traditions;
Knowledge of Zoom security and features or willingness to learn
Some Knowledge of Google Workspace or willingness to learn
Responsibilities:
Chair the Monthly Group Business Meetings;
Ensuring all Group Service Positions are filled with Trusted Servants.
Maintaining Group Documents in digital format;
Ensuring Group Conscious is followed;
Ensuring rotation of service happens
Maintenance of website
Outreach Chair
Service Term: 1 Year of Service
Bronx Zoomers Group Member
1 year of continuous sobriety;
Is currently or previously been a trusted servant at BXZ
Able to book speakers for both weekend meetings that have at least 1 year clean+sober time.
Group Secretary
Service Term: 1 Year of Service
Suggested Qualifications:
1 year sober time
Willingness to serve
Responsibilities:
Update Phone List
Record Note at Business Meetings
Distribute Announcements to group@bronxzoomers.com
Update Scripts when needed
Maintaining Group Documents in digital format;
Ensures Group Conscience is followed;
Uphold Group and Program Traditions.
Group Treasurer
Service Term: 1 Year of Service (April - March)
Suggested Qualifications:
2 years of continuous sobriety
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of PayPal for business or willingness to learn
Attend Monthly Business Meetings
Provide a monthly Treasurer's Report
Group Service Representative (And Alt)
Service Term: 1 Year of Service (April - March)
Suggested Qualifications:
Preferably someone who identifies BXZ as their Home Group;
6 months of continuous sobriety in compliance with New York Crystal Meth Intergroup’s (NYCMA) Group Conscious
Responsibilities:
Attend NYCMA’s Monthly Business Meetings; (Last Wednesday of the month)
Attend BXZ Business Meetings (Once a Month)
Represent and Vote in alignment with your higher power @ NY Intergroup
Bring any business from Intergroup back to the group when needed.
Stand-by (Meeting Level)
2 Positions
Service Term: 6 Months of Service (April thru September, October thru March)
Suggested Qualifications:
Working knowledge of how Crystal Meth Anonymous Meetings are run;
Working knowledge of Zoom or willingness to learn
Responsibilities:
Fill in for Chairs or Techs when possible
Tech (Meeting Level)
1 Position Per Meeting
Service Term: 3 Months
Suggested Qualifications:
Familiar with running a 12 step meeting (or willingness to learn)
Strongly suggested that you have a PC or MAC Desktop/Laptop or Tablet + Phone combo
Responsibilities:
Spiritual Bouncer
Let people in from waiting room
Mute “Hot Mics” (People making noise when its not their turn)
Put people who violate the traditions or disrupt the meeting in the waiting room
Lower Hands of people after they speak
Post Chat Banners
Turn off cameras of people not fully dressed or are smoking/vaping
Chair (Meeting level)
Service Term: 3 Months of Service
Clean Time: None
Suggested Qualifications:
Familiar with running a 12 step meeting (or willingness to learn)
Responsibilities:
Open Zoom and start the meeting (8:45am)
Run the meeting (via the script)
Put people in the waiting room that are disruptive (zoom bombers)
Redirect shares that glorify drug use or drug driven sex
Let people in from waiting room when possible
Attend Monthly Business Meetings
Facebook Group Admins
Service Term: 1 Year of Service (April - March)
Suggested Qualifications:
Bronx Zoomers Group Member, preferably someone who identifies BXZ as their Home Group; and
the requirements listed in the Group Chair position.
Responsibilities:
Advance knowledge Facebook, especially the administration of Facebook Groups;
Attend Monthly Business Meetings and any business meetings that are called by the Group Chair;
Engaging group members to do service;
Ensuring Group Conscious is followed;
Ensuring rotation of service happens; and
Uphold Group and Program Traditions.
